 Rod Smith caught a 22 yard TD pass from Jake Plummer on a 9 play, 64 yard drive. Key plays: Tatum Bell rushed 5 times for 40 yards to help set up the score.
2nd Quarter:

 Jake Plummer threw an interception on Denver's 1st possession of the quarter. Chief's Dexter McCleon picked off the ball at KC's 33 yard line and returned it to Denver's 45 where he was tackled by C Tom Nalen.

 Larry Johnson scored again on a 32 yard run to open up a 21 point lead for KC.

 Jason Elam scored his only FG of the game on a 27 yarder after a 9 play, 70 yard drive. Key play: 19 yard pass interference penalty called on KC helped keep the drive alive.

 Jake Plummer was picked off by Dexter McCleon again at KC's 10 yard line.

 Chiefs' Sammy Parker caught a 48 yard TD pass from Trent Green on a 9 play, 90 yard drive by the KC offense.
 Rod Smith caught his 700th career reception on a 21 yard pass from Jake Plummer to put him at 20th all time in NFL history.
4th Quarter:

 Eddie Kennison scored his 2nd TD of the game on an 18 yard reception from Trent Green.
 Tatum Bell fumbled the ball on the 5 yard line after a 58 yard run when he was hit by KC S Greg Wesley. The ball rolled into the end zone where it was recovered by KC's DE Jared Allen for a touchback.
45 - 10 Chiefs lead
 Lawrence Tynes kicked a 39 yard FG with 5:31 left in the game.
45 - 17 Chiefs win
