1st Quarter:
7 - 0 Broncos lead
Broncos RB Mike Anderson scored 1st on a 1 yd TD rush to cap a 17 play, 95 yd drive that took more than 9 1/2 minutes off the clock. Key plays: Jets penalty on 3rd and 8 gave Denver a 1st down at the New York 30 yd line, WR Rod Smith 37 yds on 3 receptions, RB Mike Anderson 31 yds on 7 plays (incl TD).
Jets QB Brooks Bollinger left the game with a concussion at the end of the 1st quarter after being sacked twice and pushed out of bounds.

2nd Quarter:
10 - 0 Broncos lead
Broncos K Jason Elam kicked a 26 yd FG after another 9 1/2 minute drive of 16 plays for 81 yds. Key plays: TE Jeb Putzier 26 yd reception, RB Mike Anderson 2 yd rush on 4th and 2 for a 1st down at the New York 9 yd line.
17 - 0 Broncos lead
Less than 1 minute later, RB Mike Anderson scored his 2nd TD of the game on a 1 yd rush. Key plays: Jets CB Justin Miller fumbled on the kick return and the ball was recovered by Broncos CB Roc Alexander at the New York 18 yd line, QB Jake Plummer 17 yd scramble to set up the scoring play.
Broncos S Nick Ferguson recovered a fumble by Jets QB Vinny Testaverde at the New York 33 yd line. A 20 yd TD reception by RB Tatum Bell at the 2 minute warning was nullified by a penalty and the Broncos were unable to score again before the half ended.

3rd Quarter:
17 - 0 Broncos lead
Broncos S John Lynch caught his 2nd INT of the year when he picked off Jets QB Vinny Testaverde's pass intended for TE Doug Jolley. Denver was unable to capitalize on the turnover and was forced to punt.
Broncos CB Champ Bailey caught his 5th INT of the season on QB Vinny Testaverde's pass intended for WR Justin McCareins at the New York 44 yd line.
Jets LB Jonathan Vilma regained possession for New York when he recovered a fumble by Broncos QB Jake Plummer at New York's 31 yd line. The Jets were unable to capitalize on the turnover and punted back to Denver.

4th Quarter:
20 - 0 Broncos lead
Broncos K Jason Elam opened up the 4th quarter with a 47 yd FG after a 6 play, 70 yd drive. Key play: WR Ashley Lelie 49 yd reception.
27 - 0 Broncos Win
Broncos RB Mike Anderson recorded his 3rd TD of the game on a 3 yd rush after another long Denver possession (7:42). Key Plays: Broncos G Mike Myers recovered a 5th New York turnover when LB Ian Gold sacked Jets QB Vinny Testaverde for an 8 yd loss and forced a fumble, RB Mike Anderson gained 39 yds on 7 rushes (incl TD) with a long of 15.
Jets QB Vinny Testaverde fumbled for the 3rd time but recovered it and was then sacked for a loss of 6 yds. He was injured on the play and left the game. Jets QB Kliff Kingsbury, formerly on the Broncos practice squad, took over. Denver then ran out the clock. This game marked Denver's 1st shutout since November 9, 1997 when the Broncos blanked the Carolina Panthers 34-0. This game also marked the most Broncos takeaways since Nov 11, 2001 when they had 5 against the San Diego Chargers.
