1st Quarter:
7 - 0 Bills lead
Bills RB Willis McGahee opened the scoring with a 1 yd TD rush. Denver challenged the ruling but lost and the score was upheld. Key play: WR Eric Moulds 27 yd reception.
Both teams punted back and forth until the end of the quarter when Broncos WR Rod Smith fumbled and lost the ball to Buffalo on the Broncos 35 yd line. the Bills did not score on the turnover.

2nd Quarter:
7 - 7 Tie Game
The Broncos put up their 1st points of the game when RB Tatum Bell ran it in from 9 yds out. The TD was nullified when TE Jeb Putzier was flagged for holding. Six plays later, WR Rod Smith caught a 3 yd TD pass to the tie the game with 00:51 left in the half. The pass was tipped by Buffalo DE Ryan Denney. The ball popped up over the middle and Smith caught it in the back of the end zone. Key plays: TE Jeb Putzier 28 yd reception, QB Jake Plummer 18 yd scramble.

Five plays later, TE Jeb Putzier caught a 23 yd pass from QB Jake Plummer and fumbled but recovered at the Buffalo 37 yd line. RB Mike Anderson converted on 4th and 1 at the Buffalo 17 yd line with a 2 yd push that was challenged by Buffalo. The ruling stood and Anderson ran the ball twice more to get to the goal line.

Bills FB Joe Burns caught a 19 yd TD pass over the middle after a 7 play, 58 yd drive. Key plays: 2 penalties on Denver gave Buffalo 20 yds and a 1st down at the Broncos 19 yd line.
Buffalo went with an onside kick that was recovered by Denver S Sam Brandon at the Bills 39 yd line with 3:47 left to play. The Broncos then ran the ball and the clock down to cement the win.
