1st Quarter:
After an 81 yard opening drive by the Broncos, RB Mike Anderson fumbled just outside the goal line. The ball was recovered by Chargers DL Jamal Williams at the 2 yard line. The Chargers were unable to capitalize on the turnover.

Broncos K Jason Elam kicked a 45 yard FG with 2:58 remaining in the quarter.

2nd Quarter:
7 - 3 Chargers lead
2:47 into the quarter, San Diego RB LaDainian Tomlinson scored the first TD of the game on a 16 yard rush after Chargers QB Drew Brees faked a handoff to FB Lorenzo Neal.
14 - 3 Chargers lead
Chargers RB Tomlinson scored again with a 4 yard run down the middle to finish off an 8 play, 83 yard drive for San Diego.

3rd Quarter:
14 - 10 Chargers lead
Broncos CB Champ Bailey intercepted a Drew Brees pass and ran it back 25 yards to put Denver back in the game in the 1st 10 seconds of the 2nd half.
Broncos PR Darrent Williams returned a Charger punt for 29 yards before fumbling the ball but it was recovered by Denver RB Cecil Sapp.
