1st Quarter:
No Score
Denver won the toss and elected to receive. On their 1st possession they went 3 and out and punted away. Oakland managed to get one 1st down but punted away their 1st possession as well. On 1st and 10 from their own 8 yd line, Broncos QB Jake Plummer threw deep left intended for WR Javon Walker but the pass was intercepted at the 24 yd line by Raiders CB Nnamdi Asomugha and returned 9 yds, setting Oakland up with 1st and 10 at the Denver 15 yd line.
7 - 0 Raiders lead
Six plays later, the Raiders put up the 1st points of the game on a 1 yd TD run by RB LaMont Jordan. Key Play: TE Randall Williams 11 yd reception.
On 4th and 1 for Denver, Broncos QB Jake Plummer threw his 2nd pick in a row on another deep pass, caught at the Oakland 35 by Raiders CB Fabian Washington, who returned it 7 yds before being brought down by Broncos TE Nate Jackson.

Denver again went 3 and out with the help of a second false start penalty on T Adam Meadows who was playing in place of starting T George Foster. Oakland then put together a 10 play, 65 yd drive to end up on 4th and 1 at the Denver 2. The Raiders elected to go for the FG and K Sebastian Janikowski's kick was good from 20 yds out. 3rd Quarter:
After gaining two 1st downs with 15 and 16 yd completions, the Broncos drive stalled. On 3rd and 8 at the Oakland 47 yd line following a 5 yd illegal formation penalty, Broncos QB Jake Plummer was sacked for a 5 yd loss by Raiders DT Warren Sapp, setting up 4th and 13 and forcing Denver to punt.
On their ensuing possession, Oakland drove to the Denver 33 yd line with the help of a 33 yd reception by Raiders WR Alvis Whitted. Raiders K Sebastian Janikowski missed the 51 yd FG attempt wide right.
Broncos QB Jake Plummer then threw his 3rd INT of the game intended for WR Rod Smith. The ball was picked off by Raiders CB Fabian Washington for a 2nd time. The Raiders were unable to capitalize on the turnover and punted back to Denver.
The Broncos went 3 and out and punted back to Oakland. The Raiders did the same and punted back to Denver. Broncos WR David Kircus returned the punt 9 yds where he was hit by Raiders LB Kirk Morrison. He fumbled and lost the ball to Raiders S Stuart Schweigert but the whole play was thrown out after an Unsportsmanlike Conduct call on Raiders DB Chris Carr. 4th Quarter:
14 - 13 Broncos lead
At 2nd and 4 at the Oakland 4 yd line, Broncos QB Jake Plummer fumbled the handoff to RB Damien Nash. Nash fell on the ball to keep possession. The next play was a 3 yd reception by WR Rod Smith to set Denver up at 4th and goal on the 1 yd line. The catch was challenged and upheld and the Broncos opted to go for it. The Broncos scored their 2nd TD to open up the 4th quarter with a 1 yd pass to FB Kyle Johnson. Key Plays: TE Stephen Alexander 29 yds on 4 receptions, TE Nate Jackson 24 yd reception.
With 4 minutes left to play, Broncos QB Jake Plummer was picked off by Raiders CB Fabian Washington. It was initially ruled incomplete and out of bounds. The Raiders challenged and lost and Denver maintained possession. The Broncos then punted away.
