1st Quarter:
No Score
The Seahawks won the toss and elected to receive. The 1st 5 possessions of the game went 3 and out and resulted in punts.
3 - 0 Broncos lead
With their 3rd possession (the 6th of the game) the Broncos started their drive on the 50 yd line. RB Tatum Bell ran the ball for 25 and 11 yds respectively but the drive stalled at the 9 yd line where rookie QB Jay Cutler was sacked for a 10 yd loss. Broncos K Jason Elam kicked a 37 yd FG to put up the 1st points of the game.

2nd Quarter:
With 9:41 left in the half, the Seahawks faced a 4th and 5 at the Denver 22 yd line. Seahawks K Josh Brown kicked a 40 yd FG attempt but the kick sailed wide left.
10 - 0 Broncos lead
On 1st and 10 of Denvers ensuing possession, Broncos QB Jay Cutler fumbled the snap but recovered it at the 27 for no gain. He then scrambled 9 yds on the next play and was set up with a 1st and 10 at the 49 because of a personal foul face mask penalty on Seattle's LB Julian Peterson. Six plays later, Broncos TE Stephen Alexander scored a Denver TD on a 7 yd reception. Key Play: RB Tatum Bell 31 yd run.
10 - 7 Broncos lead
Seattle again went 3 and out and punted back to Denver. On 1st and 10 Broncos QB Jay Cutler was under pressure and flipped the ball into the air. He was intercepted by Seahawks DE Darryl Tapp who returned the ball 25 yds for a TD to put Seattle's 1st points on the board.
On 3rd and 4 after a 34 yd drive, Broncos QB Jay Cutler completed a 6 yd pass to WR Rod Smith who fumbled the ball. It was recovered by Seahawks LB Julian Peterson and returned 25 yds to the Denver 35. The Broncos defense stood tall and allowed no gain on the possession and the Seahawks were forced to kick the FG. Seahawks K Josh Brown missed again, this time wide right from 53 yds out.
13 - 7 Broncos lead
Denver finished out the half with another Jason Elam FG, this time from 41 yds out. Key Play: On 4th and 1, the Broncos lined up in field goal formation. Broncos QB Jake Plummer was the holder and instead of planting the ball for the kick, he flipped it over his shoulder and Elam ran 2 yds for the 1st down. He couldn't get out of bounds and the clock ran down to 00:01 so they were forced to kick on the ensuing 1st down.

3rd Quarter:
The Broncos got the ball to start the 2nd half and they drove 34 yds to the Seattle 32 yd line. An offensive holding penalty set the Broncos with 1st and 20 at their own 46. Broncos QB Jay Cutler fumbled and the ball was recovered by Seahawks DT Rocky Bernard at the Seattle 46. The Seahawks were unable to capitalize on the turnover and punted back to Denver.
With 3:20 left in the quarter, Seahawks QB Matt Hasselback threw a deep pass in the end zone intended for WR Darrell Jackson but the ball was intercepted by Broncos CB Champ Bailey for the touchback. The Broncos did not score on the turnover.

4th Quarter:
14 - 13 Seahawks lead
With 9:42 left in the game, Seahawks RB Shaun Alexander took the lead with a 1 yd TD run to cap a 3 play, 61 yd drive. Key Plays: WR Darrell Jackson 27 yd reception, WR Darrell Jackson 33 yd reception.
17 - 13 Seahawks lead
On the ensuing kickoff, Broncos WR Brian Clark returned the ball 22 yds before he was hit by Seahawks CB Kelly Jennings and fumbled. The ball was recovered by Seahawks DE Joe Tafoya at the Denver 40. Seattle then gained 14 yds to the Denver 26 with the help of a 5 yd defensive holding penalty on Denver for a 1st down. Seahawks K Josh Brown's 44 yd FG increased the scoring gap to 4 pts.
20 - 13 Seahawks lead
On 1st and 10 of Denver's ensuing drive, Broncos QB Jay Cutler's pass intended for WR Rod Smith was tipped and intercepted by DB Jordan Babineaux at the 34 and returned 20 yds to the Denver 14 yd line. Seattle gained only 9 yds on the drive and kicked another FG, this time from 23 yds out.
20 - 20 Tie Game
On 1st and 10 from the 29 yd line, Broncos QB Jay Cutler threw a short pass to rookie WR Brandon Marshall, who ran it 64 yds to the endzone to tie the game with a 71 yd TD reception.
23 - 20 Seahawks win
With 2:31 left to play, Seattle took the ball 54 yds to the Denver 32 where they kicked the game-winning FG from 50 yds out. The Broncos tried to save the game on the kick return but to no avail.
